Why celebrate Halloween and Easter separately when you can combine the two and create Halloweaster
Why celebrate Halloween and Easter separately when you can combine the two and create Halloweaster
HallowEaster was invented after realizing that the kids have grown too much to wear a costume for Halloween and that are too old to scavenger hunt for prizes on Easter.
HallowEaster combines the best of Halloween (getting a treat) with the funnest part of Easter (the hunt for eggs and goodies!) Now adults and older kids can relive the magic of both holidays in one event, HallowEaster!
HallowEaster falls annually on the last Saturday of October, as soon as the sun goes down and the moon rises in the sky.
HallowEaster was born from the sadness of mid teens and their parents when they realized they could no longer trick or treat on Halloween. One Halloween night in the early 2020’s, two six-foot teenage males and their father got dressed and ready to head out trick or treating. When the mother saw them, she warned that three large males showing up in the dark with masks on their faces might be a little too creepy for their neighbors. So the good natured father, went outside in the dark to hide some candy for the boys to keep their spirits up. They all headed out Ito the woods to search for their Halloween candy instead of knocking on doors. As they searched for candy with a flashlight in the dark, the son proclaimed, “this is just like searching for eggs at Easter but in the dark and at night”. And the holiday of HallowEaster was born - combining the the joy of Easter with the ghoul of Halloween.
Born in the Northeast of the United States, adults gather around sunset in costumes of all sorts to enjoy the company of friends and their favorite food or beverage. Traditional drink includes warm cider with or without your favorite “spirit”, combined with warm appetizers like sliders and fun spooky cookies. When the moon rises in the sky, they go out in the falling leaves to search for eggs of all shapes and size full of tricks and treats of all kinds.
To ensure you have the best time and win the most prizes, the following is recommended: comfortable shoes, warm spooky/funny costumes, a powerful headlamp, a competitive sprit/sharp elbows to edge out the competition, and most important of all, the magical spirit of your inner child.
